Milwaukee, WI – July 8, 2025 – WAMI Award Winner Jerry Grillo is set to captivate audiences at Bastille Days 2025 with the world premiere of his new song, “The Strength of America,” on the Mainstage, Thursday, July 17th, from 3:15 to 5:15 PM. This heartfelt composition is a tribute to France for gifting the United States the Statue of Liberty on July 4, 1884. The statue, a symbol of freedom and a beacon for immigrants, was disassembled, shipped in 214 crates, and reassembled in New York Harbor on a pedestal built by America, with its dedication in 1886.
Grillo will also perform his acclaimed “Decades Tour,” a mesmerizing show that blends jazz excellence with the intimate charm of a French Cabaret. This performance promises to transport audiences through time, showcasing Grillo’s versatile vocal prowess and his ability to forge a deep connection with his audience.
Joining Jerry for this special performance are Milwaukee’s Golden Gals, who will add their unique flair to his award-winning song, “My Hometown Milwaukee.” Honored with a WAMI Award for Unique Song of the Year in 2023 and recognized by Mayor Cavalier Johnson with a Proclamation declaring May 9, 2022, as its own day, the song continues to be celebrated annually.
Accompanying Grillo are accomplished musicians John Hefter on keyboards, Jeanne Marie Farinelli on saxophone, and Randy Maio on drums, ensuring a dynamic and unforgettable performance.
