Milwaukee, WI – November 17, 2020, Loretta Kryshak of Rebel Reform has announced the next phase of the organization’s face mask distribution efforts; however, this time, all facemasks will be reusable and appropriated to those in need.
Recently, Just One More Ministry (JOMM) has made and distributed over 1.25 million disposable facemasks to various outreach programs, including inner-city churches and The Milwaukee County Transit Authority. JOMM will now continue distributing the new Rebel Reform usable facemasks.
In early April of 2020, the need for face masks outpaced the supply as most face masks were going to healthcare providers and their patients.
Due to massive demand, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of hospital-grade disinfectant wipes, Rebel Converting, committed to donating their fabric to make one million no-sew face mask kits, which gave birth to the #MaskUpMKE movement. To date, the #MaskUpMKE movement distributed 3.5 million facemasks in the Milwaukee area.
About Just One More Ministry
JOMM was founded in 2008 by Chris Capper and is a food recovery program that collects and repurposes food, fresh produce, and bakery from numerous Milwaukee suppliers. The food is then redistributed to more than 75 Milwaukee inner-city churches, food pantries, and organizations serving the homeless, the poor, women, children, the elderly, and veterans.
