This year, Rebel Converting’s partnership at the 16th Annual Bike Collection Drive once again proved the power of collective action—drawing hundreds of donors to Milwaukee’s lakefront and generating a wave of support for local families in need.
From early morning through midday, community members lined up to donate gently used bicycles, transforming a single morning into a movement fueled by generosity, purpose, and shared impact.
A Community Effort with Tangible Impact
The event, held in partnership with Lake Express Ferry, incentivized giving with complimentary roundtrip ferry tickets for the first 500 donors—an initiative valued at six figures and designed to maximize participation.
But the real value lies beyond the tickets.
Each donated bike will be refurbished and redistributed to children and families across Milwaukee—many of whom rely on these bikes not just for recreation, but for transportation, independence, and connection to their community.
